Waiting for my flight back home I was craving a breakfast burrito and a drink. This place was right next to my gate so I gave it a try. It's a nice sit down restaurant with a full bar and some decent decor. I sat at the bar and was greeted by the bar tender very quickly. She was very talkative and attentive to everyone sitting at the bar. She made such good conversation you'd forget you were at the airport. I ordered the burrito especial and a Michelada. The Michelada was nothing out of this world but it wasn't bad either. I would rather drink the beer straight next time though as I wasn't a fan of the mix they used. The burrito on the other hand surprised me. The size was generous and priced very fairly for being an airport. The chorizo had good flavor and the eggs were cooked very well. Each bite did not disappoint.

I was at BWI airport waiting for my flight home to Indy and decided to stop by here for dinner. I sat at the bar and the bartender greeted me right away and asked for my drink order. I ordered a water and then looked at the menu. The menu was Ok, and had a good variety of Mexican dishes. When the bartender came back, I ordered the chicken burrito and the Flying Dog Blood Orange ale. The craft beer selection was decent and impressive for an airport restaurant. The Flying Dog Blood Orange ale was very good. The chicken burrito came with salsa and chips. The burrito itself was good and tasted Ok, but lacked some flavor. The chips did appear to be dry, and were salty, but tasted Ok. The salsa was a little bland, but I dealt with it. The bartender was busy, so I did not interact with him much, and it was hard to get his attention at times. When I did interact with him, he was professional and did demonstrate good excellent customer service. The ambiance was just like an airport bar should be. It was busy with decorative Mexican paraphernalia, and the beer tap display so you can see it at the bar. It was attractive looking and inviting to the customer. For an airport dining experience, Zona Cocina was Ok, but the food lacked some quality. The other dishes I had seen did look good and had a nice presentation, but can't speak to the taste and flavor of the other dishes. If I were to fly through BWI again, I'm not sure I would stop here again for lunch or dinner unless it was my only option. It is just not what I expected it to be.

I sat at the bar awaiting my flight. The bartender was quick and attentive. I wanted something quick, filling and spicy... so I ordered the chicken nachos. When they came out it was exactly that: chicken nachos. It did not come with salsa but the bartender happily gave me a side. Note: the portion is small for Nachos. I would say it's good for one or if you are sharing, I would recommend adding an additional food item. For airport food, it was great! I would grab a seat at the bar for nachos again!

Everyone's experience is different I came in and experienced the visit and now will report back my thoughts and feelings. Decent music definitely not Tex Mex... I heard everything from Boyz II Men to Limp Bizkit basically great tunes. The service was spot on. I walked in and was acknowledged and ushered to a seat. The food was good very hot! Decent flavor. I enjoyed this lunch break on this layover.

Just grabbing a little snack b4 next flight. No one here today so easy in, easy out. Nachos and pretty good for the airport. Good selection of beers and booze too.
